Laurelhurst School Foundation

The Laurelhurst Foundation is affiliated with Portland Public Schools Foundation, an independent, non-profit organization. The purpose of the Foundation is to educate the community on the needs of students and schools and to enhance (not replace) public funding of schools. At the district level, the Foundation provides grants to promote innovation, excellence, and equity in education. They also support local school fundraising. At Laurelhurst, our Foundation has raised funds to “buy back” staff positions, pay for staff development, and purchase current textbooks. The Foundation plays a vital role in supplementing the school program.
