YES on Measures 66 and 67 in January
Protect current funding for schools, health care and safety

Oregon PTA members are helping spread the word about what a YES vote on the ballot measures 66 and 67 will mean for Oregon. These measures provide $733 million for current school budgets and services to some of the most vulnerable Oregonians.

  • Protect a full school year and current programs for Oregon's students: K-12 receives $285.5 million of the revenue provided by M66 and M67. Equal to preserving 1610 teachers and 1057 hourly employees: custodians, cafeteria workers, bus drivers etc. statewide. See the OSBA Impact Calculator below for what it means for your district, the state wide average is $431 per K-12 student.
  • Community colleges ($24.4 million)
  • Oregon University System ($39.9 million)
  • Oregon Student Assistance Commission ($5.1 million tuition assistance)
  • Oregon Health Sciences University ($4.1 million)

Over 90% of the state's budget goes directly to education, healthcare and public safety.
The economic crisis has put these vital services at risk. At the same time, two thirds ofcorporations pay just $10 per year in Oregon's corporate minimum tax.

Measures 66 and 67 raise the corporate minimum tax and the tax rates on tax payers with taxable income of $125,000 per individual or $250,000 per household. A YES vote on M66 and M67 preserves essential services like K-12 education, in-home care for seniors and health care access through these tough times. Over 97% of Oregon taxpayers will not see a rise in their taxes.
