Winter Artisan Bazaar

Laurelhurst School PTA is preparing for our first annual Winter Artisan Bazaar – Sunday, Dec. 6th from 9am-4pm--seven hours of yummy food and beverages, live music, beautiful decorations, horse-drawn carriage rides, family portraits, silent artisan auction, children's art classes, an AMAZING raffle and shopping some of Portland's premiere artisans all while supporting our school. All proceeds from the event go to the Laurelhurst PTA to further school and classroom support that is so greatly needed during these times of budget cuts.
The Laurelhurst School Winter Artisan Bazaar planning is in full swing. We've had lots of interest and excitement and now we need your help. We need volunteers and coordinators for the following areas. There's something for every level of involvement. In order for this to be successful we need to hear from you soon! If you are willing to volunteer or head up any of these areas, let us know ASAP!

  • Silent Auction: classroom art projects and local artisan donations

  • Food handler permits and commercial kitchens GREATLY needed
  • Entertainment: Musicians (students and parents especially), Carriage Rides
  • Vintage estate sale goodies and treasures table
  • Decorations: Implementers needed for this year's Winter Wonderland theme!

Day of: Door Greeters, Hospitality, Security, Kids' Craft Area, Art Class Helpers, Setup, Cleanup, Vendor Hosts

Middle School students can get community service credit by volunteering to help!

CALL FOR ARTISTS!

We are looking for local artists to create unique art pieces for our silent auction. We're looking for artists to create a focal wall or door art piece that either functions as a traditional wreath or reinterprets the concept of a wreath. We hope to inspire some amazing, some peculiar and some stunning pieces. If you or an artist you know are interested, please download the Artist Donation form.
